Covid Alert Level 2 response

As you will be aware by now, we are now in Alert Level 2 for Covid, so we have to make some changes to the freedom we’ve enjoyed in the last couple of months.

I will send out a google invitation email later asking you to sign up for your favoured service. This will be to help us to get into the building quickly on Sunday, and to keep records in case we need to do contact tracing.

As before, we will only have one door open, the door nearest the office, and we will ask you to come in and have your name checked off on the list. If you haven’t filled in the google form or sent us a reply to the invitation, it will just mean we need to fill in your name on the form. We do not anticipate any shortage of space as we have not had more than 100 at any of our services so far. There will be hand sanitizer available as you come in.

We still have the fabric chairs set up, but we suggest that you sit in your family groups with a 1m gap between you and the next family, and that you leave an empty row in front of you. It would then be much easier to fill the church if you would come in and move as far to the front as possible.

There will be no morning tea after the service.

Older people and others whose health is compromised are asked to take extra precautions. We will be sanitizing door handles, bathrooms, etc in between services. If you are concerned at all, please remember that our sermon will be online as soon as possible – probably from mid-afternoon on Sunday. Of course, if you have any cold/flu symptoms at all, please stay at home.

All this could change if the alert level is raised to 3, in which case we will notify you as soon as possible, as we will not be able to hold services at all. Mike would record the sermon on Saturday and it would be available on Sunday morning.

For those of you who were signed up to the Brian Bullen seminar; it was felt that it would be prudent to postpone it for now.

God bless and keep us all,
Hilary
